NGC3372 The Great Nebula in Carina

One of the gems of the southern sky, the Carina Nebula spans over 300 light years and is located around 7000 light years away.
Taken with a 80mm refractor and QSI583wsg camera
1 set LRGB images, 180s each
Calibrated, aligned and RGB combined in MaximDl
Luminance and RGB images stretched in Photoshop.
I did things a bit differently after that. Using Annies actions in Photoshop, I removed the stars from the luminance image and stretched it a bit more to bring out the nebulosity.
I then combined it as a luminance channel with the RGB at 50%. That made the stars look funny, so I added a normal luminance channel in as well at 25%.
Some noise reduction and colour balance.
