NGC3372, The Great Nebula in Carina

NGC3372, The Great Nebula in Carina

Taken with a 12″ LX200r scope and QSI583wsg camera with 0.62 focal reducer
15 min of LRGB data and 30min of Ha data
RGB, L and Ha images stretched separately,
Stars removed from the Ha using Annie’s astro actions in Photoshop, then combined at 35% with the Red channel of the RGB image and 15% with the Blue.
Combining the straight Ha causes strange star colours, so removing them help to preserve the star colour.
The luminance channel was then added, dropped it back to 50% due to it being a bit overpowering.
Finally a bit of colour tweaking and sharpening
