This is a composite image
The background and relative positions was taken with a 80mm refractor and EOS350d DSLR using a 0.8 focal reducer, single shot 1/60s ISO100
The moon was taken with a 80mm refractor and DMK51 camera, best 30% of 500 stacked
Jupiter was taken with a 12″ LX200r and DMK21 camera with RGB filters, best 30% of 500 stacked
The whole lot was composed in Photoshop.
Unfortunately they didn’t get close enough for this method to work that well.
